FT sensor simulator

To verify the turbine wind measurements, a line calibration of the signals is normally performed. With analogue sensors that is a simple task with a process calibrator, but with digital sensors as the FT 702 wind sensor there are no standard tools.

The wind sensor simulator is that tool, and can do a complete check of the measurement chain.

The wind sensor simulator is a “manuel” wind sensor that has the same interface as a typical wind sensor, but the wind speed and direction are set with 2 knobs instead of the wind measurement. One of the knobs controls the function and the other one sets the numerical value that is transmitted to the sensor interface.

The measurements containing the wind speed and wind direction is stored in the memory of the simulator, and can not be changed from the user side.
